In December 2024 the two teenagers, in the photo below, had a discovery flight in N30014 with a Certified Flight Instructor. They were inspired to spread their wings by their schoolteacher, who is a retired United States Army helicopter pilot.
The flight consisted of two legs. The first
leg was flown by one of the teenagers who landed N30014 at another airport located in the Tri-State region. The second leg, flown by the other teenager, was the return trip back to the airport of origin.
The Certified Flight Instructor was very impressed how well they both flew the airplane.
Both teens were overjoyed by the experience and are looking forward to starting flight lessons in the future. One of the teens has applied for a flight training scholarship through Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
The other teen is studying to take his Private Pilot written exam prior to beginning his flight training.
